Level III BPAPD Course

Prerequisites

Completion of the Level I and II courses as well as successful participation in the BGA mentorship program.

Length

A 40 hour course of instruction, preceded by a self paced preparatory off-sight case analysis.

Purpose

The course will enhance the analyst skills in preparation for acceptance as an expert in the court room.

Objectives

  • Independently analyze a complex bloodstain pattern scene.
  • Develop and test hypothesis using experimentation in support of the analysis.
  • Utilize Backtrack Images/WIN in support of analysis.
  • Utilize IR photography.
  • Write an in-depth report on the results of the analysis.
  • Participate in a moot court, presenting the results of the analysis in proper business attire.

Course Completion Requirements

The student must pass the BGA proficiency test.
